Prospective Independent County Councillor for Horncastle and Tetford Division.

Bill won this seat from the Liberal Democratic in 2001 but lost it at the 2005 election by the narrowest of margins of just 10 votes. It was certainly a close fight and Bill is working hard to ensure that he wins it back on June 4 th . He has been a Town Councillor for 12 years and has served on East Lindsey District Council for 8 years. Locally he has been involved in several community projects and notably in 2000 helped to secure the Horncastle War Memorial Centre for the people.

More recently Bill has been leading the Town Hall Working Group to retain the Hall for multi-purpose community use. It is a substantial building and well positioned to meet the needs of this area for a long time and the Group believe it will do so for many years to come.

During Horncastle's flooding of 2007 Bill was at the forefront highlighting the Town's plight to the Environment Agency and has been instrumental as part of the Town Council's Flood Group in ensuring that a long term solution is found.
