Bill Aron
County Councillor for Horncastle & Tetford Division, East Lindsey
Councillor Bill Aron has his family home in Lincolnshire and he has run the family retail business in Horncastle for the last 40 years, which has kept him extremely busy! He has also been involved in helping with fundraising for several local groups and is a Member of The Open Spaces Society. When he gets a rare moment of spare time he likes to spend it relaxing.
Councillor Aron has experience of local government at all levels as he has been a District Councillor in the past, is currently a Town Councillor and prior to being elected to the County Council in June 2009, he had previously served as a County Councillor between 2001 and 2005.
Outside of Council work, he still holds a number of community Committee Chairmanships, notably the Horncastle War Memorial Centre and the Town Hall Working Group. He considers his key skill as a Councillor to be helping constituents with their issues and concerns, and became a Councillor as he was originally asked to stand for the Town Council, then the District and then County Council.
During this term as a County Councillor, Councillor Aron hopes to be a link between the people of the Horncastle and Tetford Division and the County Council. He also hopes to ensure the people of the division have their services provided effectively and their needs met.
